Nominations are now open for The City of Red Deer's Rising Sport Stars awards program.
Through the program, athletes aged 12 years or younger who participate in a Red Deer sport organization are recognized for their commitment, passion, effort or for overcoming adversity to successfully participate and develop skills, regardless of result.
Nominations are completed and submitted by various sports groups and awards are presented annually.
This year the awards will be presented at the Bower Sun Run: Saturday May 10, 2025, at the Bower-Kin Community Centre.
More information about the award ceremony and timing will be announced closer to the event.
Nominations are accepted via online form and must be submitted prior to the nomination deadline of Monday, April 21, 2025 at 12 noon.
