The Rotary Club of Red Deer has allocated $32,000 in grant funding to seven local not-for-profit organizations.
“Every great community thrives when people come together to support one another,” said Vangi Willington, Chair of Community Service Committee, Rotary Club of Red Deer. “We believe Red Deer is a great community, and as Rotarians, we are proud to empower these local organizations to make a difference.”
The groups receiving funding from the Fall granting period include the Red Deer Community Band Society, the Central Alberta Regional Science Fair, Red Deer Action Group, Red Deer Festival of Performing Arts, Red Deer YMCA Northside, The Sendero Centre, and the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter (CAWES).
“The Rotary Club of Red Deer is proud to support these very worthwhile not-for-profits and looks forward to continuing to support the numerous charities and not-for-profits in our city,” said Phil Hyde, Co-President, Rotary Club of Red Deer. “It is what we Rotarians do.”
The Rotary Club of Red Deer’s Spring grant intake period is now underway. Not-for-profit organizations must meet certain criteria to receive funding.
