The series is tied 1-1, after the teams split the games in Weyburn on the weekend. The Red Wings won Game 1 by a score of 4-3, while the North Stars took Game 2 by a 5-2 final.

15:03 remaining, 1st period: Josh Knittig puts a one-timer past Angelo Zol to put the North Stars up 1-0 early in the first period. The goal comes off of a turnover in the Weyburn end.
14:00 remaining, 1st period: It takes just 63 seconds for the Red Wings to tie the game up. Luke Dekay scores his first of the playoffs, assisted by Max Chakrabarti.
9:49 remaining, 1st period: It is the captain, Blake Betson, who puts the Red Wings up 2-1. The goal, his second of the series, is assisted by Jerome Maharaj, who notches his 4th assist of the campaign.
9:16 remaining, 1st period: 4-on-4 hockey for two minutes, as Battlefords' Seth Dragan takes a penalty for tripping, and Weyburn's Lucas Schmid is called for high sticking.
4:57 remaining, 1st period: A deflection off the skate of Dallen Oxelgren puts the Red Wings up 3-1 late in the first period. Jaxson Ruthven gets the assist on the goal.
4:21 remaining, 1st period: The Red Wings take a penalty for too many men after Liam Fitzgerald took a high hit and were called for the extra skater as he was heading to the bench.
3:10 remaining, 1st period: A tripping penalty when a North Stars player steps on the stick of Jonah Bierd results in another Red Wings penalty, and a brief 5-on-3 opportunity for the North Stars.
2:20 remaining, 1st period:The North Stars score on the power play, just as the too many men penalty expired. Rylan Williams was able to get the puck past Angelo Zol to make it 3-2.
1:38 remaining, 1st period: North Stars defenceman Michael Carter gets a call for interference, putting the Red Wings onto the power play, their first of the night.
End of 1st period: First period wraps up with the Red Wings enjoying a 3-2 lead. They will also get 22 seconds of power play when the second period starts after the intermission.
