To prepare for an increase in seasonal yard waste, the City of Red Deer is shifting back to weekly green cart collections starting today (March 31).
Spring yard work often means additional organic material.
Residents are reminded that if their green cart is full, extra yard waste can be set out along with their full green cart for collection.
Place the extra yard waste one metre away from any cart in a paper yard waste bag, loose in a garbage can, or small branches can be bundled and tied with string.
