Estevan Bearcats win U13 A provincial title in weekend games

An Estevan team won big over the weekend as the U13 A Estevan Bearcats took home the banner and became provincial champions.

Originally, their opponents, the Martensville Marauders, held a leg up on the series with a win earlier in the month.

In game 2 of the series, the Bearcats beat the Marauders 4-3 to tie the series and bring the two to a winner-takes-all mini-game.

That game was set for ten minutes, with the Bearcats winning it 1-0 and securing the championship.

Lexi Fonstad, Avi Mack, Isla Roberts and Mecca Brock scored the goals in Game 2, with Hunter Istace scoring the lone goal in the mini-game.
