Southwest residents, music lovers, and festival enthusiasts are buzzing over the lineup for the 21st Long Days Night event coming up in a few months.
The annual music festival will spotlight live music from five Canadian bands from June 19 to 21 with a wide array of music.
Keely Williams, festival coordinator for Long Days Night, noted that they have had nights sell out in the past and recommend getting tickets ahead of time.
"We've got three nights of great music, our first night is The Paperboys on Thursday," she said. "They're a Celtic folk group, fronted by Tom Landa, who grew up in Mexico and moved to Canada in his teens.
"They've got some great Celtic dance, Irish feels, and they mix in some traditional Mexican music, so it's quite an interesting mix."
The second night, Friday, will feature western swings from Wolf Willow before The Denim Daddies take the stage with some rock-inspired roots music.
Saturday will start with some indie music from the Dump Babes, followed by a free-to-attend afterparty that's set for after midnight with Johnny 2 Fingers and The Deformities for some wild rock and roll.
"We're looking for a food truck to have onsite again, there will be snacks, beverages, and it's an all-ages show," added Williams. "We're just hoping to highlight some really great Canadian talent."
Weekend passes are available for $90 each, while tickets are $30 or $35 per person, depending on the show. Youth ages 15 and under get in for free in the company of a parent or guardian.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets can stop by Pharmasave in Swift Current or head to Long Days Night's website.
