The Ponoka Art Show and Sale is taking place this weekend at the Ponoka Drop-In Centre.
The event will feature artwork from a dozen local artists, who were all members of the former art club, which disbanded about five years ago.
The pottery club and quilting ladies will also be in attendance with some of their designs.
The Art Show and Sale has been going on for about 30 years.
Organizer Sandra Bingeman says even though the club isn't around anymore, she wanted to keep the event running.
"There's a group of us that get together two or three times a week at the Drop-In Centre, we have an art room there that we still continue using. We still get together every week," she said.
The show will feature a variety of artwork, including watercolours, acrylics, pastels, pencil drawings, printed cards, and more.
Bingeman is a gifted artist herself, specializing in watercolour, pencil, oil, acrylic, and pastels.
The art show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is free, however there will be a silver collection for donations.
