A Swift Current man may be nearing the end of ongoing court proceedings stemming from a colossal drug bust that took place more than half a year ago in Swift Current.

Daljeet Singh, who's currently in custody, appeared by video in Swift Current Provincial Court on Wednesday morning.

Defense council requested a three-week adjournment to allow for time to find a Punjabi interpreter for Singh, who isn't fluent in English.

Judge A. F. Jacobson noted that the court will be hoping for a resolution at Singh's next appearance on Wednesday, April 16.

Singh was arrested in August after Swift Current Municipal RCMP and Swift Current's Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed a search warrant at a business in Swift Current that produced 503 grams of methamphetamine, 52 grams of fentanyl, 105 grams of cocaine, and more.

The 30-year-old is facing a total of four counts, including possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime with a value over $5,000.
