A pair of individuals were arrested at a north Red Deer hotel on April 1.
Red Deer RCMP were notified that an individual wanted on outstanding warrants was believed to be in the Red Deer area.
Officers from the Red Deer RCMP General Investigations Unit (GIS) located the individual’s vehicle at a hotel located in north Red Deer. The Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) obtained a Feeney warrant to arrest the suspect.
Adam Zinger, 41, from Patricia, Alta., was arrested for outstanding warrants based out of Brooks.
These warrants include:
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats
- Fail to comply
While officers were on scene, a stolen vehicle was observed in the parking lot.
A separate warrant was obtained and as a result Michael Melin, 50, of Leduc County, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Breach Release Order
Melin was released on an Undertaking, with conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on May 28, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
