The Government of Saskatchewan has announced that its first Crown oil and natural gas public offering of the 2025-26 fiscal year has raised nearly $12 million for the province.

The land sale, held on Tuesday, brought in $11.98 million in revenue.

The Estevan area led the way, generating more than $8.57 million in revenue from 26 leases and two exploration licences, spanning over 5,900 hectares. The highest single bid of the offering came from Synergy Land Services Ltd., which paid more than $1.5 million—or $6,758.55 per hectare—for a 227-hectare lease southeast of Lampman.

The largest bid for an exploration licence was from Petro-Lin Energy Corporation. The bid was for $566,000 for a 1,026-hectare parcel one kilometre southwest of Ceylon.

In the Kindersley area, Elk Run Resources Ltd. submitted the top exploration licence bid, offering over $856,000 for nearly 5,000 hectares southwest of Eatonia. In total, Kindersley parcels brought in more than $1.7 million in revenue.

Lloydminster saw $1.24 million in bids, with the top dollars-per-hectare exploration licence bid submitted by Metropolitan Resources Inc. The company paid $715.11 per hectare—more than $833,000 in total—for a 1,165-hectare parcel southeast of Maidstone.

In the Swift Current area, total revenue reached nearly $450,000. The highest bid came from Saturn Oil and Gas Inc., which offered $371,643.75 for a parcel in the region.

This sale is the first of six scheduled public offerings for the fiscal year. According to the Ministry, a variety of factors influence activity in these offerings, including market conditions, oil and gas prices, geological factors, and the availability of land.

The next scheduled public offering is in the first week of June.
