The season is on the line tonight for the Swift Current Broncos.

Down 3-1 in their first round series to the Medicine Hat Tigers, the Broncos must win three in a row to advance to the second round.

"This series is far from over," said Broncos Assistant Coach Zach Franko. "It's first to four for a reason. We feel we've been right there every game. We're going to have to compete to play tomorrow."

The Broncos lost both their games in Medicine Hat this series, and they know it's an extra challenge winning on the road.

"They'll have a crowd behind them," Franko said. "They swarm the offensive zone. They're going to get a lot of looks. They're going to get a lot of offensive zone time. That's just the way they play and how talented they are. If we can eliminate the middle and keep them on the outside, those are things that (Reid Dyck) will do a good job at stopping."

Playing a team with the skill of the Tigers means they have to be ready to defend the right way.

"You're going to spend some time without the puck," Franko said. "You're going to have to defend hard. You're going to have to be patient, keep them to the outside, and put the body on the line when it's time to block a shot."

Medicine Hat has scored at least four goals in each game of the series so far.

The Broncos did split their regular season games with the Tigers, including a February 7th win in Medicine Hat.

A potential Game 6 would happen on Sunday in Swift Current.
