The City of Red Deer is reminding residents of trail closures.

Here are the effected areas:

Spruce Drive trail

Trail users are advised of an upcoming trail closure along the trail parallel to the east side of Spruce Drive.

A portion of the trail will be closed April 9 -10, as light tree branch removal work is completed.

The work comes ahead of future trail building and re-surfacing, which will provide improved access to underground utility infrastructure.

Minimal pruning of tree branches is required, and environmental considerations have been undertaken to minimize impacts to existing wildlife in the area.
