Voters in the Airdrie-Cochrane riding will have the opportunity to hear directly from federal candidates during a virtual forum on Tuesday, April 22. The event is being co-hosted by the Cochrane and Airdrie chambers of commerce.

The forum, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., aims to help residents and local businesses better understand the platforms and priorities of those vying to represent the region in Parliament ahead of the federal election on April 28.

Organizers encourage community participation and engagement to ensure that local issues remain front and centre during the campaign.

Running are: Christopher Bell, Christian Heritage Party; Blake Richards, Conservative Party of Canada; David Sabine, Libertarian Party of Canada; Sean Secord, Liberal Party of Canada; and Sarah Zagoda, New Democratic Party.

Each candidate will deliver opening and closing remarks, outlining their vision and goals if elected. A moderated discussion will follow, featuring questions submitted in advance by members of the public and the business community. The virtual audience will also have the opportunity to submit questions live via a private chat box, though organizers note that time limitations may restrict how many can be addressed during the event.

Registration for the forum is recommended. Those who register will receive a calendar reminder and any necessary updates prior to the event. The virtual access link will be distributed one week ahead of the forum and posted to the event page.
