Sylvan Lake updating Community Social Master Plan

The Town of Sylvan Lake is updating its Community Social Master Plan and is looking for community input.

The 2016 plan identified what quality of life means and how to move toward a vision of Sylvan Lake being a safe and caring community where all residents enjoy a healthy quality of life.

Why update the plan?

• To improve community wellbeing
• To help meet the needs and wants of the community for events and programming opportunities
• Producing short, medium, and long-term strategies to guide Sylvan Lake for another 5 years
• The plan will also help apply for provincial and federal grants

Register to participate

Focus groups are being held as below:

• May 8, 2025 (9:00 AM - Noon): Housing, Income, and Employment
• May 14, 2025 (9:00 AM - Noon): Safety and Engagement
• May 15, 2025 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Health and Wellness
• May 26, 2025 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Transportation
