Estevan MLA Lori Carr introduced an Estevan resident to the legislature earlier this month.

A southeast resident was recently mentioned during the legislature session in Regina, and our local MLA took the time to talk about him during the session.

Lori Carr introduced Brian Crossman to the gathered MLAs and the gallery, after Crossman had called her saying he'd be in town that day.

Carr says that he's done a lot for the southeast community.

"For those of us that know Brian Crossman, he is a great advocate for the City of Estevan and, I guess more importantly, for the oil and gas industry that we have here. So getting the opportunity to highlight what he and even his wife Valerie do for this community was the opportunity that I had, and I took it."

Carr says that to make an appointment, she prefers that people talk with her constituency office in Estevan. If they're taking a trip to Regina, Carr says she's happy to set something up ahead of time.

"When people do come to Regina, generally, you know, they're coming to tour the legislature building or have an opportunity to sit in the gallery and watch proceedings. If someone is there, by all means, give me a call in advance so that I can make time in my schedule to take that little tour with them and do that introduction for them in the gallery anytime."

The current legislative session for Saskatchewan ends on May 15th.
