Firearms and drugs seized after traffic stop. RCMP

On April 12, 2025, the Maskwacis RCMP attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Louis Bull First Nations. The involved vehicle sped off and fled from police.

The occupants of the vehicle were seen abandoning the vehicle and running into a residence in the area. Suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were observed by police through the window of the abandoned vehicle.

A search warrant was obtained by officers for the vehicle and the nearby residence. During the search, multiple firearms, magazines and ammunition were located. Police also found military style attack vests and a stolen vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:

  • Bryatt Threefingers (28), a resident of Louis Bull First Nations, was charged with:
    • Breaching firearms prohibitions (x4);
    • Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
    • Flight from peace officer; and
    • Driving while unauthorized.
  • Tracy Crier (19), a resident of Louis Bull First Nations, was charged with multiple firearms offences.

Threefingers and Crier were brought before a justice of the peace. Crier was released on conditions while Threefingers was remanded into custody. They are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Maskwacis on April 15, 2025.

“The Maskwacis RCMP would like to thank community members and leadership from all 4 Nations of Maskwacis and their continuous to support in helping get illegal firearms away from the community and out of the hands of those who are using them for illegal purposes” said Insp. Richard Mckay, Detachment Commander of the Maskwacis RCMP.
