Cochrane hockey player Kadon McCann has made the final list of potential picks for the NHL Draft in June.

McCann is 116th on the list and a potential fourth-round draft pick, according the central scouting.

Originally selected 23rd overall by the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2022 WHL Draft, McCann is in his second full season with the Western Hockey League (WHL) club.

Tigers officials say the six-foot-three forward was a key part of a shutdown line with Ethan Neutens, also from Cochrane, and Misha Volotovskii. Neutens was acquired from the Kelowna Rockets earlier in the season.

“In addition to his defensive skills, McCann utilized his desirable combination of size and skill to contribute 11 goals and 18 points this season,” state team officials.

He was ranked 101st overall in the previous central scouting update.
