There will be some southwest Saskatchewan content in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Championship Series.
Swift Current's Ryder Rommelaere is excited to be part of a Weyburn Red Wings team that upset Flin Flon to advance into the final.
"It's an unreal feeling, honestly," he said. "Getting there with the team and not only being there myself but being there with the group of guys is just such a great feeling. Not something you can just describe really easily, but it's I'm very excited."
There were some nervous moments during a Game 6 overtime against the Bombers.
"We all had belief in ourselves going into that overtime," Rommelaere said. "We knew we still had a lot left. We knew what we wanted."
Josh Sale's goal then lifted the Red Wings over the Bombers and into the league final.
"(It was) a really, really good feeling," Rommelaere said.
This is Weyburn's first trip to the SJHL final since 2012.

"We obviously have a lot of skill within the group," Rommelaere said. "But it's also we're almost like just a family, a group of guys that all get along so well and work together all to get to one goal."
This is also the first time the Red Wings beat the Bombers in the playoffs since 1985.
Rommelaere is playing his rookie season in the SJHL after spending the last three seasons with the Prairie Hockey Academy.
"It was definitely nerve-racking to jump into it," he noted. "It's special to be a part of such a really good group, and I've grown a lot as a player, but also as a person, with some great coaching. I'm still getting ready and excited for the finals. It's definitely something special to be in for my first year. I won't take it lightly for sure."
Rommelaere had 6 goals and 10 assists in 38 regular season games this season. He has added an assist in 8 playoff games so far.
Rommelaere's Red Wings play former Swift Current Broncos defenceman Zach Turner and the Melfort Mustangs in a best-of-seven championship series starting on Saturday.
Turner had 30 points in 46 regular season games to help lead Melfort to the best record in the SJHL this season. The Mustangs are the defending Canterra Seeds Cup champions.
