A pair of local volleyball teams headed to Regina over the long weekend to compete in the Provincial Tournament that would determine their chance to advance to the coveted National Tournament.
The tournament was held from Thursday, April 17, to Saturday, April 19, with teams from around the province.
Swift Current's Southwest Sports Excellence 15UM Sundogs continued a streak of success, securing silver after losing to the Saskatoon Huskies in a three-set gold medal match.
The Mercator Financial 14UW Elite Sundogs, also from Swift Current, took home bronze after defeating Battleford Volleyball Club in two sets during the bronze medal match.
The 15UM Sundogs will next head to Edmonton for Nationals from Thursday, May 8, to Sunday, May 11.
