In addition to showers and a risk of thunderstorms, some parts of the southwest might even receive snow.

Monday afternoon saw temperatures around 5 degrees with some precipitation and clouds, thanks to a weather system coming from south of the border.

Shannon Moodie, meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, shared that the Cypress Hills area may even be looking at some snow on Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

Locations with higher elevations, such Cypress Hills, are more likely to see snowfall.
