Theresa Grace Lambert
(nee Gallimore)
June 21, 1935 – April 17, 2025
Peacefully on April 17, 2025, Theresa Lambert passed away peacefully at the Lions Manor in Portage La Prairie with her family by her side at the age of 89 years.
Theresa was born in Toronto, ON to Ralph and Isabel (nee Mckay) Gallimore. Mom grew up and attended school in Toronto with her younger brother Kenneth. She met her husband of 64 years, Arnold Lambert there and had their first son Stephen in Toronto.
They moved to Edmonton, AB where they had their next six children. Next stop was North Bay, ON where she could enjoy time visiting with her family before going back out west again, this time to Moose Jaw, SK.
While in Moose Jaw, Mom enjoyed square dancing. It was always a joy watching Mom and Dad dancing together. Mom had her garden and helped with the Air Cadet Parent’s Committee. Mom worked at the Catholic School Board and at the Moose Jaw Public Library.
Upon retirement, Mom and Dad moved to Claresholm, AB and then Fort Macleod, AB. Mom met a lot of wonderful people there and took up quilting and walking. Mom and dad spent the past few years close to family in Portage La Prairie, MB.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Isabel Gallimore; brother Kenneth Gallimore; mother-in-law Josephine Altrogge; brothers-in-law Robert Lambert, Edwin Lambert and Melvin Furmanic; sister-in-law Lois Lambert and nephew Robin Furmanic.
She is survived by her loving husband Arnold Lambert; sisters-in-law Carol Gallimore and June-Ann Furmanic; children Stephen (Barb Cross) Lambert, Stuart (Candi) Lambert, Sandra (Mike) Overs, Shannon (Ray) Gammel, Stanley (Marcia) Lambert, Ann-Marie (Rob) Boisclair and Shawn (Nicole Spivey) Lambert; grandchildren Jessica-Lynn (Kyle) Huber, Patrick (Beth McKague) Overs, Ashley Overs, Ashley Awender, Kim (Will) Lawless, Kayla (Kurt) Myers, Nick (Jenna) Lambert, Amy Lambert, Sara Lambert, Kyle Boisclair, Kathrine Boisclair, Christian (Tiffany Miller) Boisclair and Caitlin Spivey; great-grandchildren Keegan Overs, Hunter and Emma Myers, Ava and Logan Lawless; along with many extended family and friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 1125 Saskatchewan Ave East Portage la Prairie, MB. The funeral service was recorded and can be viewed here.
