Estevan Fire and Rescue responded to a call on Saturday morning for a grass fire reported along Highway 39 Northwest of Hitchcock.
Crews responded and worked to extinguish grass fire. The fire had spread into area consisting of stored vehicles, lumber and miscellaneous equipment. Additional crews were called to assist in extinguishment.
Crews were out for approx. 4.5 hours with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Throughout the week, EFR also responded to three false alarms.
