As part of the pivot from licensed childcare services to programs for youth, BGC Clearwater (formerly Boys and Girls Club) is selling their long-standing home and club house and will be operating programs out of other locations within the Clearwater community.
BGC and Youth HQ recently decided that this would be a better use of United Way and FCSS funding support and want to utilize funding responsibly and not take on the continued financial responsibility of the building.
The pivot to youth programming has been immediately successful, addressing a need in youth service within the Rocky Mountain House community.
The first round of new youth programs went well, and further programming is to be announced in the coming weeks, providing the same great opportunities and experiences as the rest of the BGC programs within the Youth HQ agency.
BGC and Youth HQ are currently looking for more permanent spaces out of which they can run programs.
The building, located at 4928 49 St in Rocky Mountain House, is now up for sale.
