A major fraud case concluded in Kindersley Provincial Court this week, while several others were adjourned to later dates in May.

Lyndsay Neumeier, 42, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud and received a conditional sentence of two years. The first eight months will be served under house arrest, followed by a curfew and 200 hours of community service. Neumeier was also ordered to pay $71,405 in restitution over the next 15 years and an $800 victim surcharge.

The restitution is to be paid to two non-profit organizations impacted by the fraud. Pioneers Haven Co. in Kerrobert is owed $42,294.50, while the Kerrobert Minor Hockey Association is owed $29,110.50.

In total, Neumeier misappropriated $177,835 from the two organizations between the dates of April 2019 and December 2022. The court heard that a significant portion of the stolen funds had been repaid before charges were laid.

In addition to the sentencing, one case was adjourned to May 6, while five others, including matters involving Uncle Dicks Trucking, were adjourned to May 20.
