Swift Current's Cayson Cassidy is joining an impressive club.
He's the latest Swift Current hockey player to make the Saskatchewan Junior Pats roster for the annual Brick Invitational tournament.
"I felt good," Cassidy said. "I'm excited. It's like taking the hockey to the next level."

The Brick is a prestigious U11 hockey tournament played inside the West Edmonton Mall every July.
Cassidy mentioned recent local athletes who played in the tournament like Parker Rondeau and Carter Moen of the Swift Current Broncos.
What kind of player are the Junior Pats getting?

"A hard forechecker," Cassidy said. "A person who wants to win. Can score when they need it."
The 10-year-old has been hooked on hockey since he first put on skates.
"At 2 years old, I got my first pair of skates," Cassidy said. "I have just loved the game from the beginning."
Playing spring hockey, the sport has already taken Cassidy across the prairies.
"It's fun to go to new places that I haven't seen before," he noted.
Cassidy wants to thank his family, teammates, and coaches for supporting him to get to this opportunity.
The Brick Invitational is set for the first week of July.
