The future of the Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats hits the ice this weekend.

The Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League team is holding its annual spring camp.

"We're hoping we'll have in that 60-70 kids range," said Wildcats Head Coach Terry Pavely. "We're going to be the last camp so we might have some late additions, and we might lose some kids based on what happens with other programs. We're really happy with where we're at."

The camp doesn't just evaluate players for the immediate future.

"We want to see some kids come to Swift Current and get a good look at them," Pavely said. "Not just for next season, but for seasons down the road. It also allows us to AP some players that we see as possible Wildcats. It's a good recruiting piece for us."

With some new additions already locked in, the Wildcats are ahead of the game in building their team for 2025-26.

"Hopefully, we're able to solidify our roster after that weekend," Pavely said.

The camp starts with practices today and scrimmages throughout the day tomorrow at S3 Arena East.
