The Swift Current Wolverines are back on the floor tonight in Prairie Gold Lacrosse League Junior B action.
They host the Saskatoon Swat at S3 Arena West.
Despite an 11-10 loss to Moose Jaw to start their season, Wolverines head coach Kevin Schafer is confident their group with a lot of returning players will find their way.
"I firmly believe once we get some reps in practice, get some ball movement, and guys get familiarized with each other, we're going to be very offensive," Schafer said. "We're hoping for big things. We just need to bring it together right now."
While the Wolverines have a solid returning group, they're integrating some new faces this season as well.
"We've got a couple young guys there in Nate Klimm, Jake Woods, and Sayer Francis," Schafer said. "They're going to be around for a long time. They're big kids and not afraid to get in there and mix it up with the boys. They're going to be very good for the future. We're going to lose some guys after this year, but we've got a lot of kids coming in. The future is pretty bright."
Game time against Saskatoon is 8:00 PM tonight in Swift Current.
Meanwhile, the U17 Swift Current Rampage head to Regina for three games this weekend.
The U15 Rampage are also on the road in Regina for two games on Saturday.
The U13 Rampage host the Weyburn Thrashers at 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM on Saturday at S3 Arena West.
The U11 Rampage Rowdy take on Moose Jaw Black at 9:30 AM and the Regina Chaos at 1:30 PM, while the U11 Rampage Bruiser take on Moose Jaw Black at 11:00 AM and the Regina Chaos at 4:00 PM.
