Update: Four people deceased in serious crash

On May 3, at 10:53 p.m. Ponoka RCMP received a report of a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 2A near Township Road 434.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a GMC Acadia with a lone deceased 41-year-old female occupant.

The other vehicle, a Volkswagen Tiguan, had two deceased people inside, a 26-year-old male and 14-year-old male.

A third 14-year-old female occupant was taken to hospital by STARS but died due to the injuries incurred.

All 4 deceased people were residents of Maskwacis.

Although the investigation continues, initial reports indicate that the Acadia was passing other vehicles when it struck the oncoming Tiguan head-on.
