Red Deer RCMP lay charges in mischief investigation after receiving multiple reports of property damage in both the downtown and south areas of the city. Central Alberta Online News.

On the night of Saturday, May 3, and into the early morning hours of Sunday, May 4, Red Deer RCMP received multiple reports of property damage, including numerous windows being smashed in both the downtown and south areas of the city.

A lone suspect was arrested in connection to these incidents.

The suspect, identified as Creed Goodrunning, a 26-year-old resident of Rocky Mountain House, has been charged with;

  • five counts of mischief over $5,000 
  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • possession of break-in instruments.

Creed Goodrunning was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.

He is scheduled to appear in court May 5, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

The investigation is ongoing, and police anticipate that further charges may be laid as additional reports are received and reviewed.
