Construction resumes on Highway 5

Plan accordingly if you’re travelling on Highway 5. 

Construction work resumed on the road on Tuesday. 

Drivers can expect long delays; however, alternative routes are available such as Highways 41, 27 or Highway 316, 16 and 2. 

Phase 2B of the Highway 5 Corridor Safety is scheduled to be completed in 2025 which includes work from 15 km west of the south junction with Highway 2 to near Blucher Road as well as the realignment of the St. Denis Access.
