It's draft week in the Western Hockey League.
The WHL is holding three drafts over two days.
It starts this afternoon with the Penticton Vees expansion draft.
We should find out around 2:00 PM who the Swift Current Broncos will lose in the draft.
The first round of the WHL Prospects Draft is set for 5:00 PM today.
The league then holds a two-round American draft tomorrow before continuing with the rest of the prospects draft.
We will track all the Broncos' picks and local players drafted on Swift Current Online.
The Canadian Hockey League also announced today the expansion of their import draft.
It will now be a three-round draft with the ability to trade picks within the draft.
Swift Current picks 28th, 89th and 150th in the CHL Import Draft on July 2nd, 2025.
