Construction is set to expand the roundabout at Leva Avenue and Laura Avenue.

Located at the north end of West Gasoline Alley, the project begins on May 21.

During construction, traffic will continue to flow through the roundabout.

Drivers can expect reduced lane widths, temporary lane closures and lower speed limits in the area.

The Leva Avenue North roundabout expansion project includes:

  • Relocating streetlights and catch basins
  • Upgrading the granular base and asphalt pavement
  • Installing new concrete curbs and sidewalks
  • Refreshing road markings
  • Restoring landscaping

Work will take place Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is expected to take approximately seven weeks to complete.

To help avoid delays, drivers are encouraged to use alternate access routes into Gasoline Alley via Highway 2A to Lantern Street or McKenzie Road.

Motorists are reminded to watch for signage, barricades and flag persons assisting with traffic flow through the construction zone.

For safety, please slow down, exercise caution and follow posted speed limits in designated areas.
