A 43-year-old man is facing charges after a stabbing on the 1200 block of Stadacona Street West on Sunday. 

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a reported break and enter at around 8:15 a.m. 

Officers located a person who had suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to hospital and is currently in stable condition, according to police. 

Police say the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. He was later located and arrested at a home on the 200 block of High Street East with assistance from the K9 unit and the Community Policing Division. 

Thomas St. Pierre has been charged with aggravated assault and break and enter. He made his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday and has been remanded at the Regina Correctional Centre. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
