Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.
The threat of a severe thunderstorm is expected to continue late into this evening and into the overnight hour as storms move towards the northeast.
Severe thunderstorms can produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain and can damage roofs, fences, branches and soft shelters.
Residents are reminded that "when the thunder roars, go indoors" has lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
