On April 17, 2025, after a brief investigation into firearms, RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a residence on Falcon Crescent in Sylvan Lake. As a result of the traffic stop, two individuals were arrested. During a search incidental to arrest RCMP located cocaine and cash on one of the suspects. The vehicle was towed pending a search warrant.
RCMP then executed a search warrant on the residence on Falcon Crescent. As a result of the search police located:
- 2 loaded hand guns;
- A loaded shot gun;
- A loaded semi automatic assault rifle;
- A hunting rifle;
- Over 1 kg of Ketamine;
- $12 990 dollars in cash.
On April 18, 2025 police executed a search warrant on the vehicle previously seized. Police located.
- 3.5 ounces of Cocaine;
- Another handgun.

RCMP have charged 41-year-old Sylvan Lake resident Jesse Bergstrom with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of property obtained by crime;
- Weapon/firearms offences (x9);
- Possession of a firearms contrary to order (x2).
Bergstrom was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody he has since been released for future court dates.
RCMP have charged 39year-old Sylvan Lake resident Katie Leanne Cameron with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of property obtained by crime;
- Weapon/firearms offences (x9);
Cameron was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on bail.
RCMP have charged and later arrested Samantha Elizabeth Lind with:
- Possession for the purpose of Trafficking;
- Possession of a controlled substance;
- Firearms offences (X2).
Lind was released for a future court date
