Anyone who had potentially been exposed could be eligible for preventative treatment for up to six days after exposure. However, you are asked not to attend a clinic in person, but to call HealthLine 811 for more information.
Symptoms of measles include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, fatigue, irritability, small, white spots (Kiplik spots) inside the mouth and throat, and red blotchy rash that develops on the face and spreads down the body about three to seven days after symptoms begin and can last four to seven days.
Measles is highly contagious and can spread easily through the air. It can live up to two hours in the air or on surfaced in a space where a person coughed or sneezed.
