That same day, officers located a 48-year-old woman from the Maritimes who was heavily intoxicated and disoriented in the city’s industrial area. She was held in cells until she was sober and able to care for herself.

Police also received a report of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located and found to be operated by a learner under proper supervision, with no signs of impairment.

Later, a hit-and-run collision was reported involving damage to the side mirror of a parked vehicle. A witness was able to provide the licence plate of the suspect vehicle, and the investigation is continuing.

A second impaired driving report led to another vehicle stop. The driver was found to be sober but was cautioned about their driving.

Officers removed a woman from a local hotel after it was determined she had not paid for her room.

Police responded to two domestic disturbance calls and investigated an assault at a residence. One man was arrested and released pending charges, with additional interviews planned.

Officers were also dispatched to a call involving a suicidal individual. Police breached a locked door to ensure the person’s safety. The individual was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for assessment.

Police helped maintain the peace at a residence while a former spouse retrieved personal belongings.

On May 19, police and Estevan Fire and Rescue responded to a small cooking fire at an apartment complex in north-central Estevan. The fire was extinguished, and fire officials will follow up with the investigation.

Officers also responded to a domestic dispute in the downtown area. Both parties agreed to separate for the night. The matter remains under investigation.

Police attended a false burglar alarm at a residence in the west end of the city and a second false alarm at a business in the east end.

Six compliance checks were conducted on individuals bound by court-ordered conditions. All were found to be in compliance.
