The Red Deer Symphony Orchestra (RDSO) is preparing for the final performance of its 2024–25 season.
The "Symphonic Storytelling" concert, set for this Saturday (May 24), is completely sold out — but there’s still a chance to hear the orchestra perform.
A free open rehearsal will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre.
It’s a unique behind-the-scenes opportunity to see how a symphonic performance comes together.
Everyone is welcome, and you just need to register here to enjoy the show.
As the season wraps up, RDSO is already looking ahead, with the release of its 2025–26 season brochure — marking its 39th year.
The new season will feature six main series concerts, promising to be bigger and better than ever, led by Maestro Claude Lapalme, who is celebrating his 36th year as music director.
The new season starts in October and current RDSO subscribers can already renew their subscription for the 2025-26 season, renewals are due by August 29th.
Season tickets for new subscribers will go on sale August 1st and you’ll be able to take in all the shows or build your own custom symphony experience.
The RDSO has been a cornerstone of the Red Deer arts and culture scene since 1987 and has operated as a fully professional orchestra since 1990.
