It will be a busy spring weekend in the southeast, with 5 fun-filled events taking place across 3 different communities. We will be at 3 of them so make sure to stop by!
Woodridge Community Car Show on The Ridge - Saturday, May 24th
Woodridge Community Club is hosting its 4th annual car show on the ridge. Celebrate the community on Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm at M.A Querel Community Park and Woodridge Community Club.
This year the majority of proceeds go towards the Woodridge Fire Department. Donations will go towards upgrading wild-land protection equipment.
The Wildlife Haven’s Wild Baby Shower - Saturday, May 24th
Enjoy spring by joining The Wildlife Haven at their wild baby shower this Saturday. The event will help support the health of orphaned wildlife.
You can expect games, prizes, new merch, and visits from wildlife ambassadors from 1 pm – 3 pm at the Murray Education Center at the Wildlife Haven (1028 Arnould Rd, Ile des Chenes).
Admission is by cash or item donation.
Life Culture’s Walk for Life - Sunday, May 25th
Life Culture is hosting its Walk for Life this weekend in KR Barkman Park, Steinbach
Here’s what you can expect:
1-2 pm: Free BBQ
2-2:30 pm: Speakers
2:30-3 pm: Walk
This family-friendly event is asking for donations of baby items, diapers, or gift cards which will be distributed to struggling mothers.

The Sashbear Foundation’s “It’s ok not to be ok” mental health awareness walk - Saturday, May 24th
The Sashbear Foundation is spreading mental health awareness in Steinbach this Saturday. The walk takes place at KR Barkman Park, beginning at 10 am. Join the community in support of those struggling, as well as mental health workers and supporters.
Strong Towns After-Dark Bike Jam - Saturday, May 24th
Enjoy a peaceful, low-traffic, community bike ride through Steinbach starting at 8:30 pm in E.A. Friesen Park. This free event is open to all ages and skill levels.
Community Garage Sales – Saturday, May 24th
Community garage sales are taking place in La Broquerie (9 am –4 pm), St. Adolphe (8 am), and St Anne (9 am- 6 pm) this Saturday. La Broquerie community garage sale will feature a PERK coffee kart and a Smokin’ Gunns food truck. Lists of addresses are available on Garagesalejunkie.ca
