The Carrick community celebrates 31 years of Carrick Days
Carrick Days is a weekend-long celebration that brings together members of the community for what feels like one large family reunion.
Volunteer Darlene Johansson says that there are only 7 full-time residents of Carrick. The rest of the community are cottage owners.
Johansson was born and raised in Carrick and returns to this event every year because of the community and the people.

This event began 55 years ago, when Queen Elizabeth toured Manitoba for the Queen's Jubilee Tour, stopping in the community of St. Pierre-Jolys.

Frog Follies Ag fair
Where tradition lives: celebrating 50+ years of Ukrainian culture in Dauphin
From August 1 to 3, the rolling hills near Dauphin transformed into a vibrant celebration of Ukrainian culture, history, and community during Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival. Drawing thousands of visitors to the Selo Ukraina site, the annual festival brought together folk dancers, musicians, historical interpreters, vendors, and families eager to honour their heritage or to simply enjoy a weekend of food, music, and tradition.
The MHV brings Pioneer Days to life with demonstrations, treats, and more
Pioneer Days celebrations came to life this weekend at the Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV) with the sights and smells of pioneer demonstrations, as well as the taste of Mennonite treats.

The 2025 sights, sounds, and winners of the Pioneer Days Parade
The Steinbach community showed up in a big way for the annual Pioneer Days Parade.
Thousands of people lined Main Street this morning to collect candy and watch the floats go by.
This year's parade started by Kroeker Avenue and rolled down Main Street—ending by Manitoba Public Insurance on Hwy 12.
