Southwest families, golf enthusiasts, and more can help support those living with cystic fibrosis with the Erpster Cup Golf Tournament coming up this weekend.

The annual tournament is set for Saturday, May 24, at Meadowdale Golf Course, located just outside of Gull Lake, with registration beginning at 1:00 p.m. and a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m.

Jenna Roosen, president of the Gull Lake Kinettes, shared that golfers of all ages and skill levels can still register for the tournament up to the day of.

"A local family had been doing the tournament before the Kinettes," she said. "One of their family members was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, so they took it on for quite a few years, and when they were ready to pass the torch, we took it on after that."

Entry fees are $50 per person for those who have their own carts or $100 with cart fees.

Supper will be provided and beverages will be available, all proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

"We're pretty informal with it, and it's just meant to be a lot of fun, to get out and swing some clubs for one of the first rounds of the year," added Roosen.

Anyone intersted in registering can reach out to one of the Kinettes or contact Jenna Roosen at (306) 671 - 7321.
