The Highway 1 battle continues in the junior Prairie Gold Lacrosse  League.

Swift Current plays Moose Jaw for the third time already this season.

Wolverines Head Coach Kevin Schafer was impressed with how they played in their 12-9 win over the Mustangs last week.

"We came out a lot stronger than we did on the home opener there," Schafer said. "We kind of forced the ball a little bit, and things went our way. Everybody stepped up the game a little bit."

He felt the Wolverines were able to wear down Moose Jaw a little in that game.

"We have a game plan that we kind of set out," Schafer said. "I think as the game went on they were a little bit short staffed and the physicality was a big thing, and I think they kind of tired out a little bit. As they tired out and we kept moving the ball around a little bit, then guys just got open, and we started capitalizing."

This is the third game of the season between the two clubs. The Mustangs won the opening game of the season before Swift Current was able to avenge the loss last week.

They play each other twice this week.

"They've got some pretty dynamic guys up front there," Schafer said. "Those guys kind of stir the drink for them. If we can keep on the good side of those guys and keep them minimized, force them into some bad shots, it's definitely going to help out. Then just executing our game plan on offense and on defense."

Swift Current is 2-3 on the season, while Moose Jaw is 3-1.

Game time is 8:00 PM at Kinsman Arena in Moose Jaw.
