The Swift Current 13U AAA Girodat Seeds 57s came up just short Sunday afternoon in a back-and-forth affair against the Regina Wolfpack on Country 94.1's Local Sports Live powered by OMT Projects.

Regina plated five runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a 4-4 tie and hung on for a 9-6 win in game one of the doubleheader at Kiwanis Field in Swift Current.

Starting pitcher Avery Christianson worked four-plus innings for Swift Current in the loss and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two singles, an RBI, and two runs scored.

"I pitched pretty good, the team did pretty good," Christianson said on Country 94.1's Local Sports Live post-game show moments before being named the Boston Pizza Hardest Working Player of the Game.
