Phase 10 of the City of Moose Jaw's Infrastructure Renewal Program wrapped up its third week on Friday.

The City says that progress is being made on the nearly 1.4 kilometres of cast iron pipe and 700 metres of feeder main being replaced as part of the program's tenth phase.

Work is ongoing at the intersection of Main St. N and Fairford St. W, and the project is expected to move west in the near future. The Main and Fairford St. intersection is still closed at this time, however, the City expects it to reopen to traffic by May 31, weather permitting.

The City notes that only local traffic will be permitted in the alleyways and parking lot off of 1st Avenue NW and Fairford St. W to allow Moose Jaw Police Service operations to continue as normal and ensure access to the police station.

Road closure signage is still present on Main Street at the High and Ominica Street intersections, but full sidewalk access to area businesses is available.

The temporary transfer points for all Moose Jaw Transit Routes is still located at 1st Ave NW, in front of the Temple Gardens Centre. Northbound bus stops at Main St. N and Cordova St. and Main St. N and Athabasca St. E remain out of service at this time.

Workers are present on 4th Avenue SW from Coteau St. to Duffield St., the Coteau St. and 4th Avenue SW intersection is open during construction. Work also continues on 6th Avenue SW from Grandview St. to Coteau St., with the Coteau St. and 6th Avenue SW intersection remaining open at this time.
