The Marysburg Royals suffered their first loss of the season in the Saskatoon Senior Baseball League but were able to bounce back quickly as they went 1-1 in their doubleheader against the Saskatoon Dodgers on Sunday.
In the first game, the Dodgers picked up a 5-3 win over the Royals. In the loss, Nick Anderson and Tom Hooker each registered a home run.
Marysburg avoided a sweep with a resounding 11-2. Cole Bauml had a home run for the Royals. Brody Frerichs earned the win on the mound.
Through the first four games of the 2025 campaign, the Royals are now 3-1.
Their next action is Wednesday in Saskatoon against the Hoppers.
