The Swift Current U17 Sonic softball team posted an unbeaten weekend in Regina en route to capturing the Sharon Knott Memorial Tournament title.
Swift Current was perfect in pool play, going 3-0, dispatching the Valley Vipers 12-5, Regina Royal Roadrunners 16-3, and the Lumsden Cubs 15-0.
The Sonic plated six runs in the first inning and five more in the third in a 15-3 rout over the Northeast Riverdogs in the semifinals.
Swift Current's bat stayed hot in the finals, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning as they cruised by Quad Town Steelers 11-1 to claim the tournament championship.
The Sonic will make their season debut in the Moose Jaw Ladies Fastball League on Wednesday.
