The Saskatchewan Health Authority is letting the public know about additional measles exposure risks in Swift Current and Regina. 

If you have been at any of the following locations during the specified time, you are asked to monitor for measles symptoms for up to 21 days after exposure. 

Swift Current 

  • McDonalds (420 South Service Road East) 

  • Friday, May 16, 2025 from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

  • Pizza Pizza (1701 North Service Road East) 

  • Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Regina 

  • The Atlas Hotel (4177 Albert Street) 

  • Friday, May 16 from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. 

  • Saturday, May 17 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. 

  • Sunday, May 18 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. 

  • Monday, May 19 from 12:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. 

  • Apex Adventure Plex (2329 8th Avenue) 

  • Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

You are asked to call Healthline 811 if you have been exposed and you are unvaccinated, are unsure of your vaccination status or developing measles symptom. If you are going to the emergency department or a clinic, call before entering the building so proper precautions can be taken to minimize the spread. 

Symptoms of measles include: 

  • fever, 

  • cough, 

  • runny nose, 

  • red eyes, 

  • fatigue, 

  • irritability (feeling cranky or in a bad mood), 

  • small, white spots (known as Koplik spots) inside the mouth and throat, and 

  • red blotchy rash, which develops on the face and spreads down the body about three to seven days after symptoms begin and can last four to seven days.
