Lowry undergoes hip surgery

Former Swift Current Broncos Captain Adam Lowry went under the knife yesterday.

The NHL's Winnipeg Jets announced their current captain underwent successful hip surgery.

They reported his recovery time will be 5-6 months. 

Lowry scored 16 goals to go with 18 assists in 73 games this season. He added 4 goals during Winnipeg's playoff run.

The Calgary product has been with the Jets for 11 seasons and 775 NHL games.

Lowry played 4 seasons and 235 games with the Broncos in the WHL.
