An experience they can take with them for a lifetime.

A recent trip to club volleyball nationals was a memorable one for three Swift Current Sundogs teams.

The Swift Current Southwest Sports Excellence 15U Male Sundogs finished 21st out of the top 108 teams in the country.

"I thought it was a great experience for the boys just seeing all the different teams from across the country," said 15UM Head Coach Sean Fraser. "Being able to play different teams, seeing that higher competition level, and being able to step up and play with them."

They went 3-3 in the tournament before losing to Canwest from Calgary in quarterfinal action on Sunday.

"There's no easy games," Fraser said. "You have to perform every game and that pushes the boys to be better. They were playing some of their best volleyball too. For us in Swift Current to be able to compete with them that was pretty exciting for the boys to see."

They were silver medalists in provincials as well.
