57's open WCBL season in Regina

The road back to the WCBL playoffs starts today.

It's opening day for the Swift Current 57's.

They travel to Regina to play the Red Sox tonight.

"Coming in every year there's always that excitement of meeting new guys," said 57's Infielder Brody Alexander. "Getting to make a lot of new lifelong friends. It's just exciting to get going. Can't wait."

The game is Ruddy Estralla's debut as 57's head coach and new pitching coach Kenny Jinks.

The 57's expect a lot of lineup adjustments as they get to know their new roster.

"It's usually every day we have a new lineup," Jinkds said. "It's just how summer ball goes. We'll try to play the best lineup every day."

Swift Current's home opener is Friday against Medicine Hat.
